Bongani Lesego Lekome is a sous chef at the Convention Centre pastry kitchen.

Bongani Lesego Lekome is a sous chef at the Convention Centre pastry kitchen. He began his career  at Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club in the USA, where he worked as a commis chef in both the cold and pastry kitchens.

On his return to South Africa, he worked closely with chefs Olivier Bashiya and Sean Maan at the Sun City pastry kitchen, before being given the opportunity to become a Chef de Partie at the newly opened Time Square in Pretoria. He returned to the North West as a Chef De Partie in pastry at The Palace, creating exquisite fine-dining desserts.

Lekome holds an NQF certificate in hospitality management and is intent on completing a diploma in culinary arts.
