The Captain’s Table house vintage is an exclusive wine specifically handcrafted by the hotel’s staff to be unique to the best address in Cape Town.

Dane Goldschmidt, Head Concierge at The Table Bay, provided his intimate knowledge of the unique flavours of the hotel’s two exclusive blends and their meal pairings.

The first is a white blend with floral notes, bursting with tropical fruit flavours, and provides a balanced palate that gives a crisp, lingering finish. It pairs well with a saffron and white wine mussel pot, as its hints of lemon and tropical fruits balance out the sweet, floral taste of the saffron and the rich and hearty flavour of the seafood.

You can also enjoy the white blend on its own, especially while savouring the unhindered picturesque views of the V&A Waterfront from the comfort of your room at The Table Bay.

The second is a red blend made up of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. It's a ripe purple wine with a mixture of berry flavours, gentle tannins, integrated wood flavours, and dark chocolate aromas. Pairing it with beef ribeye on the bone, served with wild garlic, parsley, baby potatoes, sautéed sundried tomatoes, and spinach, lets you relish in its soft and sweet blackcurrant finish.

The Holden Manz Rothko Rosé and Newton Johnson Resonance Sauvignon Blanc Semillon are currently popular at The Table Bay.

The Holden Manz is a multi-layered lingering wine that sparkles like diamonds in your hand.
