Rules for the Explore Promotion

  1. The Explore Time Square promotion runs from 1 July to 29 October 2023.
  2. Semi-final draws occur every Thursday at 20h00 (during July, August, September, and October). Semi-final draws occur on month-end Saturdays at 20h00 for July, August and September.
  3. Additional semi-final draws will be held on 28 October at 18h00 and 19h00. The final semi-final draw will be held on 29 October at 18h00.
  1. The final draw will take place Sunday 29 October at 19h00.
  2. Each of the 10 semi-finalists selected at every semi-final draw will receive R500 in cash and R500 Xtra Play.
  3. All semi-finalists also get an entry into the final draw.
  4. The winner of the final draw will receive a Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 and a Lefika Villas Timeshare for 5 years. Terms and conditions regarding the package apply.
  5. A cash alternative of R600 000 for the car and R150 000 for the Timeshare will be offered.
  6. The remaining 9 finalists will each receive R5 000 in cash and R5 000 Xtra Play.
  7. Winners must be present at all draws and will be given a time period to present themselves and must be in possession of the winning ticket. Only the lawful cardholder of the corresponding winning ticket is entitled to the prize(s) subject to these rules.
  8. Tickets in the main Tombola will carry over until the final semi-final draw on Saturday, 29 October at 18h00.
  9. Tombola tickets can only be redeemed from the Explore Hub during the following times: Wednesday: 16h00 to 22h00, Thursday: 16h00 to 22h00, Friday: 16h00 to 22h00: Saturday: 12h00 to 22h00, Sunday: 12h00 to 18h00
  10. Customers must enter their tombola tickets at the tombola located on the ground floor, near the stage.
  11. The tombola closes 15 minutes before each semi-final draw.
  12. The Explore Hub closes 1 hour before every semi-final draw for the redemption of tombola tickets.
  13. Qualification criteria per ticket: Every 5 casino points. Every R500 spent at any of TSQ concessionaires (no bill accumulation), every night stay in the hotel, every online booking for the hotel, every SunBet Arena show between July and October. (Hotel, SunBet Arena and concessionaire guests have 2 weeks from date of issue to claim entry tickets). Qualification must take place at Time Square Casino, Hotel, the SunBet Arena, and concessionaires.
  14. Any person who is under 18 years, or who has been excluded, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in the Explore Time Square draws.
  15. The promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members. In addition, all persons who are precluded from participating in gambling activities as determined in the Sun International Employees, Suppliers and Service Providers may not participate in this promotional competition.
  16. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration.
  17. Entries are not transferrable and cannot be entered on behalf of someone else. Prize winners must positively identify themselves when signing for receipt of their prizes and prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
  18. All decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained.
  19. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotional competition will be disqualified.
  20. In the event of technical failure, malfunction or damage to the device used during the promotional competition for the selection of prizes, finalists, and prize winners, irrespective of the cause thereof, another suitable device or method will be used at the sole discretion of Management.
  21. Every participant in the promotional competition shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation. This version of the rules are the official rules and supersedes any other document purporting to be rules for this promotional competition.
  22. If management makes any exception or deviation from these rules, it does not mean that the casino waives any of its rights.
  23. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found not to be enforceable by law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force to the full extent that is permissible by law.
  24. These rules are the official rules for this promotional competition and supersedes any other version. Copies of these rules are available at the Sun MVG Desk upon request and at suninternational.com.
  25. Management reserves the right to terminate this promotional competition without prior notice.
  26. No draw tickets will be issued for corporate/block bookings or casino comps.
