TimeChamp Trail Run at Sun City
Sun City has become the first site in South Africa to install the TimeChamp permanent sports timing system. TimeChamp is an ‘always on’ sports timing system that allows athletes to log their activities at TimeChamp venues. Linked with your personal ChampionChip, TimeChamp records your running sessions and updates times automatically to your TimeChamp profile. You can also compare your results against others who have completed the same course – so the race is always on!
Log your runs on two routes at Sun City — the 5.2km Green Route along the golf cart path at the Gary Player Golf Course and the 6km Blue Route, which takes in both the Lost City and the Gary Player courses. There are marker boards at each kilometre, tracking your progress. Use of the sports timing system is free to all visitors at the resort.
Please note: ChampionChip owners must register their chips on the TimeChamp database in order to log their runs.

You will find a kilometer marker board at each km to confirm your progress. To use the system, simply do the following:
- Create a TimeChamp account with your personal ChampionChip at www.timechamp.co.za
- If you do not own a ChampionChip then you may purchase one at the Gary Player Country Club Pro Shop
- There are two routes to choose from. The Green Route and the Blue Route.
- Register your run on www.timechamp.co.za and plan your route before setting off (Maps are available at the Gary Player Country Club Pro Shop)
- Go out and run (listen for the BEEP before you start)
- Your result will appear on the TimeChamp website
