Sibaya gets guests back to the fun, FAST,
with new electric vehicle charger
The future of electric cars has arrived, and Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom has installed a 100KW fast charger to help guests spend less time on chores and more time doing what they love. Around 500 battery electric vehicles were sold last year, an increase from 218 in 2021.
The Rubicon E-Mobility charger offers up to 220kW of power, which can take an Audi e-tron just 30 minutes to charge to 80%, translating to around 260km of range. Any guest who holds a Rubicon E-Mobility or Grid Cars charge card can use the charger at a rate of R5.88/kWh.
Two cars can charge simultaneously, and there is no worry about loadshedding as the charger is connected to a generator.
