The stellar cast of merry murderesses and murderers, boast with a myriad of talent. With Kaylah Solomons and Keesha Pretorius in the roles of Roxy Hart and Velma Kelly, the seedy behavior of the 1920’s is revived. Directed by Yolande Rabe, Musical Direction by Pieter van Helslandt and choreographed by Braeden Buys, this musical tells the story of Roxie Hart who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she swindles the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn, played by Jaden Philander, to transform her malicious crime into headlines.
