The arts suffered tremendously due to Covid-19, and therefore the post-Covid era is entered with a brand new, world-class celebration of Afrikaans music: Afrikaans in Styl.
Although there was a wide variety of Afrikaans concerts and festivals across South Africa before Covid-19, there has always been a huge void outside the boundaries of the known, for a stylish occasion, where the icons in the Afrikaans music industry share a stage. This is the blueprint of Afrikaans in Styl.
Concertgoers are spoilt as Afrikaans in Styl launches with the biggest Afrikaans icons on stage together for the very first time: Nataniël, Karen Zoid and Stef Bos. Afrikaans in Styl also offers these three icons the opportunity to invite guest artists of their choice to perform with them. The concept: concerts in a concert resulting in a production of a magical magnitude, promising surprise after surprise. Dr Charl du Plessis, Steinway ambassador and the music director, masterfully blends all these creative elements with strings and orchestra and creates a glamourous affair of music and theatre.
