Rules

  1. Any person who is under 18 years, or who has been excluded, or who is self-excluded, or who falls into any category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotional competition (“promotional competition”).
  2. This promotional competition is exclusive to Sun MVG members, and is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents, or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members. In addition, all persons who are precluded from participating in gambling activities as determined in the Sun International Employees, Suppliers, Service Providers and Concessionaires Gambling Policy may not participate in this promotional competition.
  3. Participants must actively play slots on the main gaming floor during the promotional period to be eligible.
  1. . Winners will be randomly selected via Power Winners.  The 40 selected MVG members per day will all compete in the quarter-finals of the slots tournament. The tournament consists of quarter-finals, a semi-final and a final. The top 10 per heat from the respective quarter-finals will progress to the semi-finals. The top 10 highest points scores across the semi-finals will progress to the finals.
  2. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration.
  3. The promotion runs on the following dates and times:

    • Date  | Saturday, 4 January 2025

  4. Promotional dates and times may change. Such changes will be advertised on property without any changes to the dates and times in these rules. Participants are required to take note of any changes prior to the actual day and time of the draw.
  5. The total prize value is R250 000 in XtraPlay over the promotional period as follows:
    • On the respective quarter-final days, a total amount of R20 000 in XtraPlay will be issued as consolation prizes as follows: 20 (twenty) x R1 000.
    • On the semi- final and final day, a total amount of R210 000 in XtraPlay will be issued as follows:
    • At the semi-finals consolation prizes will be issued as follows: 30
    • (thirty) x R2 000.
    • At the final prizes will be issued as follows: 4 x R5 000 (10th, 9th, 8th and 7th place), 2 x R10 000 (6th and 5th place), 1 x R15 000 (4th place), 1 x R20 000 (3rd place), 1 x R25 000 (2nd place) and 1 x R50 000 (1st place).
  6. Slots prize winners will have their prizes downloaded directly onto their cards.
  7. Where applicable, the images of the prize(s) used in advertisements or displays may not necessarily be the actual prize(s), model(s) or specification(s) issued as prizes. The relevant information may be sought from the casino.
  8. In the event that the promotional competition provides prize winners the opportunity to risk their prize for a higher value prize or another prize altogether, the prize winner concerned will not be compensated for losing the prize he/she risked. In such instance, the prize concerned will be returned to the prize pool.
  9. Participants consent by virtue of their participation that their personal information, including but not limited to, their name, surname, and/or Sun MVG number, being announced or displayed by the casino.
  10. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised. Prize winners must positively identify themselves by producing a government issued identification document when signing for receipt of their prizes.
  11. All decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence or appeals will be entertained. Participants do, however, have the option to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a gambling-related dispute.
  12. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotional competition will be disqualified.
  13. In the event of technical failure, malfunction or damage to the device used during the promotional competition for the selection of prizes and prize winners, irrespective of the cause thereof, another suitable device or method will be used at the sole discretion of Management, and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed of such changes.
  14. Every participant in the promotional competition shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  15. In the event that management makes any exception or deviation from these rules, it does not mean that the casino waives any of its rights including but not limited to enforcing these rules in future or similar circumstances that resulted in the exception or deviation concerned.
  16. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found not to be enforceable by law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force to the full extent that is permissible by law.
  17. These rules are the official rules for this promotional competition and supersedes any other version. Copies of these rules are available at the MVG Office upon request and at suninternational.com.
  18. Management reserves the right to terminate this promotional competition without prior notice and without any compensation, or to enhance prizes or increase the number of prizes or vary other aspects of the promotional competition where such changes benefit the participants (excluding earning criteria).
