Rules

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion;
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order or who is self-excluded or who falls into the category of excluded persons is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion;
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members;
  1. The promotion runs on the following date and times:
    • • Thursday |6, 13, 20 and 27 April 2023 ǀ 12h00 and 13h00
  2. MVG members will receive one free ticket entry into the draws;
  3. Ticket issue will close automatically 15 minutes prior to the start of the draws on each respective draw day;
  4. Tickets will not be accumulated or carried forward to a subsequent draw and will only be valid for each respective draw;
  5. Prize winners will be selected by way of a random selection through E-draw;
  6. Draw announcements will be made on the casino floor and winners will be informed of prize collection location;
  7. Prize winners will be given 180 seconds (three minutes) to present themselves and must be in possession of their MVG loyalty card and a valid picture identification (Passport, SA Bar-coded Identity Book or Card, SA Driver’s License);
  8. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 180 seconds (three minutes), a redraw will take place;
  9. Four MVG members will be selected at 12h00;
  10. These four MVG members will be provided with numbered lanyards, one to four, and will play Make The Deal in that order;
  11. Make The Deal promotional tool-box:
    1. There will be four prizes hidden within the numbered compartments of the promotional tool-box;
    2. Each will be numbered one to four, as illustrated below, with prize values randomly placed within each compartment, per draw time:

    3. Below these will be four DEAL panels, as illustrated below:

    4. The deal options will be randomly placed within the compartments;
    5. Each compartment will be labelled D, E, A or L;
    6. These four deal options, D, E, A or L will indicate Double, +1000, +2000 and Equal;The promotion runs on the following date and times:
  1. Make The Deal game:
    • Consists of two stages which each individual player must complete;
    • Stage one allows the individual player to select a number from one to four;
    • Once the prize value has been revealed, the player must proceed to stage two which is the “Make The Deal”section;
    • Here the player must select either D, E, A or L;
    • The option selected will either indicate Double, +1000, +2000 and Equal;
    • This will then apply to the amount revealed in stage one of the game;
    • For example, if the player has revealed a R500 cash, the DEAL section applies as follows:
      • Double = R500 +R500 = R1 000 cash won
      • +1000 = R500 + R1 000 = R1 500 cash won
      • +2000 = R500 + R2 000 = R2 500 cash won
      • Equal = R500 remains R500 cash won
  2. The above process is repeated until all four players, as selected via promotions executive via the 12h00 draw, have participated;
  3. The same process will be repeated at 13h00;
  4. The total prize value is a share of up to R120 000 cash over the promotional period;
  5. The total prize value on each promotional day is a share of up to R30 000 cash;
  6. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration;
  7. Prizes are not transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash;
  8. In the event of a technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotion, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method may be used, at the sole discretion of Management and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed of such changes;
  9. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into;
  10. Participants do, however, have the option to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a dispute;
  11. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified;
  12. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation;
  13. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
