Competition Rules

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion;
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order or who is self-excluded or who falls into the category of excluded persons is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion;
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members;.
  1. The promotion runs on the following dates and times:
  2. Mystery
    • Date: Friday, 5, 12, 19 and 26 April 2024 | Friday, 3, 10, 17 and 24 May 2024.
    • Time: 18h00 to 23h00.
  3. Wild Card Draw
    • Earning period: Every Friday from 06h45 to the following Saturday at 06h45 between 5 April 2024 and 24 May 2024.
    • Draw: Friday, 31 May at 20h00.
    • Ticket Issue:  Friday, 31 May 2024 from 15h00 and automatically closes 15 minutes prior to the draws.
  4. Manual Draw
    • Date: Friday, 31 May 2024 at 22h00
    • Tombola: In the Bravo Bar on Friday, 31 May 2024.
  5. Mystery
    1. MVGs that are actively playing slots during the time period are eligible;
    2. Fifty (50) MVG members randomly selected via Power Winner Mysteries, will each receive R1 000 in cash plus a golden ticket;
    3. Slots prize winners will have their cash prizes downloaded directly onto their cards and a golden ticket will be handed to them;
  6. Wild Card Draw
    1. MVG members who have earned two (2) casino points over the earning period will be allocated one ticket into the draw;
    2. Casino points can be earned every Friday from 06h45 to the following Saturday at 06h45 between 5 April and 24 May 2024;
    3. If a participant has earned a golden ticket via power winner during the earning period, they will not be entered into the Wild Card Draw;
    4. If the points target is met during the promotional period, the member will qualify for entry into the draws;
    5. Ten (10) prize winners will be selected by way of random selection through Promo Exec to receive a Golden Ticket;
    6. Draw announcements will be made on the casino floor and winners will be informed of prize collection location;
    7. Prize winners will be given 180 seconds (three minutes) to present themselves and must be in possession of their MVG loyalty card and a valid picture identification (Passport, SA Bar-coded Identity Book or Card, SA Driver’s License);                
    8. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 180 seconds (three minutes), a redraw will take place;
    9. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes;
  7. Manual Draw
    1. Prize winners who have received a golden ticket between 5 April 2024 and 24 May;
    2. Golden ticket winners will need to register for a draw ticket at the Bravo Bar on Friday,31 May 2024 from 18h00 and place this ticket into the tombola to qualify;
    3. The ticket will be uniquely numbered and will contain the name and account number of the qualifier;
    4. Prize winners will be given 180 seconds to present themselves and must be in possession of their MVG loyalty card and a valid picture identification (Passport, SA Bar coded Identity Book or Card, SA Driver’s License);
    5. Should the prize winner not present themselves within 180 seconds, a redraw will take place;
    6. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes;
  8. The total prize value of this promotion is R530 000;
  9. R400 000 in cash will be given away consisting of R50 000 every Friday from 5 April until 24 May 2024;
  10. On 31 May 2024, R130 000 in prizes will be given away, consisting of Trip to Sun City valued at R100 000, R20 000 in cash and R10 000 in cash;
  11. Entries cannot be purchased for cash, points or through any other form of consideration;
  12. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash unless otherwise advertised;
  13. In the event of a technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotion, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method may be used, at the sole discretion of Management and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed of such changes;
  14. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into;
  15. Participants do, however, have the option to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a dispute;
  16. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified;
  17. By virtue of participating in the promotion, every winner shall be deemed to have consented to announcements detailing their name and account numbers;
  18. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation;
  19. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
