Promotion Details

  • An entry fee of R1 000 will be required this will entitle the player to play 1 heat on the Saturday.
  • A total of 6-30 guests to take part in the Roulette tournament

Global Terms & Conditions

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion.
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who fall into category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion.
  3. This promotion is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management.
  5. Prizes are not transferrable. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes.
  6. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; Participants does however have the right to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing board in the event of a dispute.
  7. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
  8. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation.
  9. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
  10. Copies of these rules are available at the MVG Rewards Centre upon request. 

 

 

RULES

  • Guests will be allowed to have multiple entries, to a maximum of 2 per guest.
  • Should a guest have 2 entries, he will play in 2 separate heats on the tournament day.
  • The Final will consist of 6 players with the highest overall chip count from the 5 heats.
  • Each player starts off with R5000 worth of competition chips.
  • Seating for the heats will be done by random selection i.e. each guests will be allocated a number from 1-30. These numbers will be randomly drawn and so decide who will be seated at which seat which heat. Should a guest have multiple entries and he is drawn twice for the same heat, there will be a redraw for the next seat to ensure that the guest plays in two separate heats.
  • The Roulette table will be a R10 denomination
  • Bets must consist of a minimum of R10
  • Normal Roulette rules and table maximums apply.  In addition to this the following competition rules will also be implemented.
  • Players must place a minimum bet every spin
  • Only colour chips are allowed to be placed as bets.
  • A time limit of 3 minutes will be allocated for the betting between each spin.
  • Before the 3 minute betting time is called; the dealer will ask for chip change, to give the participants chance to change the promotional value chips for colour chips.
  • No bets may be placed until the dealer has completed all pay-outs and all chip change has been done and the 3 minute betting time has started.
  • No bets are allowed once the ball has been spun. (No more bets to be announced before the ball is spun).
  • No call bets, maximums or outside chances are allowed
  • No bets may be placed or be accepted on the EVEN CHANCES, DOZENS, or COLUMNS.
  • Each player will also be given the opportunity on the last spin to make a secret bet up to but not exceeding R600, dependent on remaining chip-stack. Before any bets are made, each player will be called by the Gaming Manager to write their secret bet on a piece of paper bearing their name and pay the inspector for the bet. The secret bet may only comprise of up to 3 numbers, straight up, within the table limits. The Inspector will check all secret bets and that the correct amount has been advanced, these will be placed on the wheel rim. The secret bets will be placed by the dealer on completion of the final spin and after the layout has been cleared
  • No partner play is permitted.
  • No coaching is permitted.
  • No lending of chips between players.
  • ALL CHIPS TO REMAIN ON THE TABLE AT ALL TIMES
  • The top 6 places will be determined by the players with the highest chip values.
  • In the event of two or more players having the same amount of chips in 6th position and below a “sudden death” spin play off on roulette will be held to determine the top 6 places, if there is still a tie we will go into a 2nd or 3rd “sudden death” spin until a clear winner is determined
  • The players will each get 40 colour chips
  • The normal roulette tournament rules apply
  • In the event of only one player being left in the game during the final heat, that player will be declared the winner. 
  • No cash buy-ins will be allowed during the tournament. Only promotional chips given to each guest at the start of the heat may be used. Chips may not be lent or borrowed between players during the tournament.
  • Should a “NO SPIN” be declared by the Tournament Director whilst a rotational marker is being used, bets will not be changed and the ball will be re-spun.
  • Chips cannot be pooled with, or transferred to other participants’ chips.  All chips must be returned to the respective table float at the end of each competition session.
  • Whilst every reasonable effort will be taken to ensure the accurate recording of rankings/scores, the onus shall remain with participants to ensure that their rankings/scores are correct at all times. The casino reserves the right to make the necessary corrections as soon as it becomes aware of any founded discrepancies, which corrections could change the rankings/scores of participants and allocation of prizes.
  • The Tables Shift Manager will write out prize vouchers to the guests.  The guests must then take the prize voucher to the cashdesk to be paid out.
