Mechanics

  • A progressive jackpot value of R1 000 plus total sales (The jackpot is won within the first 18 spins).
  • When Jackpot is won the base value will start at R1 000.
  • When the Winning combination is achieved the winner receives the base value plus 100% of ticket sales.
  • If no Winning combination is achieved the consolation prize consisting of 35% of the ticket sales for that session will be paid out (35% of the ticket sales will be paid as a consolation prize with 65% of the ticket sales being carried over to the next week’s jackpot).

  • Tickets sold at R30 each.

Rules

  1. No person under 18 years is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion at Golden Valley Casino.
  2. The numbered tickets have 2 sections that are carbonised. The guest is to fill in their 9 individual numbers between 0-36 and then tear off the top copy and give it to promotion officials and retain the bottom copy.
  3. A Ticket will be sold at R30.
  1. Tickets with duplicate numbers and or illegible numbers will be disqualified if the session has already started.
  2. Winning ticket holders must shout “Jackpot” to have their ticket verified.
  3. The relevant winner must produce the correct counter foil, MVG Card, and a valid ID or Passport or a credit card type license (picture ID) to claim the prize. No payouts will be processed without the evidence of the top copy; the top copy will be disqualified if it has been tampered with.
  4. “Bonanza” must be called on the winning number before the next number is called to claim the prize.
  5. If there is more than one winner, the prize will be split equally among the winners.
  6. No participant can claim the Jackpot/Consolation prize after the last winning number is called, whilst in the process of waiting for the ball to drop into the next number
  7. If participants buy more than one ticket, it remains their responsibility to shout “Jackpot” on the winning number
  8. Only numbers ranging from 0-36 are valid for the Ball of Fortune promotion
  9. Tickets are not transferable or redeemable for cash
  10. This promotion is closed to all employees and contractors of Sun International, their advertising agencies, and their immediate families
  11. The Golden Valley Casino may alter the rules of the promotion, with the prior consent of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, but will not do so without good reason
  12. All communications regarding this promotion constitute part of the rules
  13. Any person violating the rules will be disqualified, banned, and/or prosecuted
  14. All prizes will be paid out / issued subject to ticket verification and identification
  15. It is a specific condition of entry that the player agrees to be governed by these rules
  16. Right to entry is reserved and management has the right to exclude any player at their discretion
  17. In the event of technical failure or damage to the device used for the promotional draw, irrespective of the cause, another suitable device or method will be used, at the sole discretion of Management and the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board will be informed of any such changes.
  18. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into; Participants do however have the right to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a dispute.
  19. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified.
  20. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by their participation.
  21. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
