Rules

  1. No person under 18 is allowed to gamble or participate in this promotion;
  2. Any person who has been issued with a Refusal of Entry order, or who is self-excluded, or who fall into category of excluded persons, is expressly prohibited from participating in this promotion;
  1. This promotion is closed to any person/s who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members;
  2. Participants must be a valid MVG cardholder;
  3. World Series of Slots heats will run every Saturday from 21 April 2018 to 9 June 2018 between 11h00 and 19h00;
  4. Each heat runs for three (3) minutes;
  5. The GrandWest World Series of Slots final will take place on Saturday, 16 June 2018 at 15h00;
  6. Entry to the tournament is by way of a cash buy-in of R100 at the casino, which entitles the player to a seat in one of that day’s qualifying heats;
  7. Registration for participation shall be in person and in accordance with advertised dates and times, all of which will be advertised through the casino’s marketing mediums;
  8. Participants may enter another heat by making cash re-buys of R100 each;
  9. Alternative entry to the tournament by earning ten (10) casino points on tournament days only will qualify for that day’s tournament;
  10. No points redemption for entry is allowed;
  11. Only one (1) entry will be allowed for guests that choose to play with points buy-in;
  12. Guests who qualify for the tournament via points redemption need to collect a slip from the Rewards Centre by 17h00 and redeem their seat immediately afterwards;
  13. A minimum number of three players will constitute a valid heat;
  14. Late entries shall not be accepted;
  15. Players who are not present before the actual start of the heat will forfeit their seat, and no re-funds will be made;
  16. Players may be substituted in qualifying heats;
  17. Players’ credits cannot be pooled with or transferred to other players’ credits;
  18. Credits earned during each heat will be ranked to determine the top credit earners;
  19. Registration will be on a “first come first serve” basis and machines will be allocated from number one onwards;
  20. The winner from each tournament day will automatically qualify for the final;
  21. Players will be limited to one (1) seat per heat;
  22. Should any player have more than one (1) seat in the finals, they may nominate a “proxy” to play on their behalf;
  23. Prize winners must sign for receipt of prizes;
  24. Slot Machines will be operated in tournament mode hence any winning combinations struck will not be paid out as casino winnings despite the fact that corresponding winning combinations may be displayed at such machines. If operated in standard mode during a tournament, no winning combinations will be paid out.
  25. In the event of a tie, there will be a play off between the tied contestants as an additional heat;
  26. In the event of a malfunction of a slot machine, the affected players will be given the first available seat in a heat. A refund will be made if a player cannot be accommodated in a future heat;
  27. In the case of a tournament software malfunction, the entire heat will be re-started;
  28. Only under extreme circumstances will the Casino allow a player to be substituted and adequate proof will need to be provided e.g player hospitalized;
  29. All decisions are final and binding and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into;
  30. Participants do, however, have the option to approach the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in the event of a dispute;
  31. Any person transgressing the rules of this promotion will be disqualified;
  32. Every participant in the promotion shall be deemed to have acknowledged and accepted the rules by virtue of their participation;
  33. The above clauses are severable from each other. Should any clause or part thereof be found to be unenforceable by operation of the law, such clause or part thereof will be severed, and the remaining clauses shall remain in force.
