SA Blackball Championship

Top cueists from all across South Africa will be preparing for battle to achieve top honours at the 2016/17 South Africa Blackball-Pool Championships, hosted by the Gauteng Blackball Federation, from 16 January to 01 February 2017. The event, which is brought to you by United Productions, is the highlight in the calendar of the National Blackball Federation. The battle ground will be the “Big Top” arena, which has been meticulously prepared by the management of the Carnival City Casino.

Neither the distance of travel nor the barriers of different Provincial colours could deter the spirit of competitiveness on the road of ultimately crowning the King of South Africa in the Men’s, Women’s, Under 23’s, Senior’s or Master’s categories. The battle ground is drawn where losing is not considered an option. There could be only one Champion in each category. Flags from across the country (9 Provinces, SANDF, SAPS & USSA) will adorn the arena walls, witnessing how their participants will do them proud.

This event also boasts the biggest prize in African pool history, a Citroen DS3 valued at R 330 000! The final knock out for this grand prize takes place on 25 January 2017 in the big top arena.
