Karlien van Jaarsveld is a South African pop/rock singer and actress who rose to fame with her debut album ‘As die Gordyn Val’, in 2010. She won the SAMA Award for Best Pop Album (Afrikaans) in 2014 for her album Uitklophou.
Karlien played herself in a guest starring role on the 10th season of the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders, in late 2014. In 2015 she was one of the 10 celebrity contestants on the eighth season of the reality competition series Strictly Come Dancing, winning the competition with professional dancer Devon Snell.
