Chimp & Zee Rope Adventure Park Sun City Resort

Mankwe Gametrackers in a joint venture with Chimp & Zee brings you an exciting new activity at treetop level above the Valley of Waves.

Rope adventure parks are made up of individual elevated obstacles or challenges interconnected to form exciting adventure courses. These courses are typically made up of various 'elements' – from high balancing beams, speedy zip lines, hanging spider nets to jungle rope bridges and much more.

Each rope adventure course is designed with specific elements that requires a different approach and set of skills and is therefore considered an excellent developmental tool for both young and old alike.

Fun activity for everyone

Rope adventure courses are a fun outdoor recreational activity that is certainly not just for kids, it is ideal for individuals, families and groups wanting to challenge themselves and their abilities.

Operating hours

This activity will be conducted daily, operating hours are from 09:00 until 17:00 in Summer (Sept - April) and 10:00 until 16:00 in Winter (May- Aug).

The duration of the activity will be approximately 45 minutes. The activity starts at the Valley of Waves. Subject to Sun City Resort Valley of Waves operating times.

What to Bring

  • Closed shoes or go barefoot
  • Sunscreen
  • Comfortable clothing for the journey
  • Must wear a shirt or top
  • Long hair to be tied up

Fitness

A degree of physical fitness is required but if you can run up a flight of stairs, you should be fine.

  • Maximum weight 120kg.
  • Minimum height 1.2m.

Inclusions

One entrance per person onto the rope course.
All your safety equipment. Estimated duration is 45 minutes.

Exclusions

Excludes day visitor entrance fees into Sun City and Valley of Waves.

Important to note

You will be passing over the Valley of Waves a few times, all loose materials, phones etc. will need to be removed and either placed in a locker or given to a friend/family member.

Skills

No skills or qualifications are necessary, just a sense of adventure!

Terms & Conditions

  1. One person per element
    We allow only one person per element at a time ensuring the safety of each person partaking in the journey.
  2. Continuous belay system*
    *A belay system is mechanical device used during climbing. There is a continuous rope above your head that is attached to your harness for the entire duration of the journey. This means that as you go from element to element you will have a safe and secure line above your head. Even if you slip off one of the elements you will only go a very short and safe distance before your harness supports you.
  3. Gear
    You will be put into a safety climbing harness and a helmet to ensure that you are secure always.
  4. Chimp & Zee Guides
    Trained, friendly guides are available throughout the journey to constantly check everyone is happy and safe. They will check your gear and will explain how the journeys work.
  1. Guests to make their own way to Valley of Waves or Tennis Court area behind the Cascades hotel.
  2. Guests are to dress comfortable for an outdoor activity.
  3. Guests will be able to pre-book online or directly at the Mankwe GAMETRACKERS desks in the Welcome Centre, the Activity Hub next to the Shebeen or through the hotel concierge.
  4. Operators & Travel Agents can also book online and check real time availability through our wholesaler portal or they can send their booking requests via e-mail to info@manwkegametrackers.co.za
