Lady Day Big Band Repertoire
This year we are ending OMJ with a bang, incorporating a 19-piece all women big band. The OMJ 2018 Finals will differ slightly in that the Ballad portion of the competition will be accompanied by the OMJ trio band with songs being chosen from the 177 songs on the OMJ repertoire list.
For the second half, the Up-tempo songs will be performed with the Lady Day Big Band and their prescribed repertoire list below. Each Top 6 contestant’s up-tempo songs will be drawn randomly by the judges to ensure fairness and to ensure no song repetition on the night. Contestants need to make sure they know all the songs to be fully prepared for their Finals performance.
