The Privilege Portfolio is open only to individuals (no groups, associations, companies or corporations can enrol members). Membership is available at two levels; Advantage and Premier. Your membership level determines the hotels where you may redeem your "stay one night and get the next night free" vouchers. The membership fee is refundable within two weeks of acceptance of the membership, provided the membership has not been used. The refund will be actioned after receipt of the membership card and package, including all the vouchers and certificates. A cancellation fee will be charged at 10% of the membership fee paid. The membership card and vouchers are valid for use only by the member himself/herself. Membership privileges are non-transferable. Privilege Portfolio benefits are subject to change. Sun International retains the right to cancel or withdraw the card and vouchers, should they be used fraudulently in any manner.


Room reservations are subject to availability. Pre-booking is advisable. Quote your membership number when making the reservation. Stay one night and get the next night free vouchers must be surrendered at the reception when checking in together with your VALID membership card. A refundable deposit will be requested when checking into the hotel. Be sure to check the conditions on the vouchers. Your credit card details will be requested when making the reservation.

Booking procedure:
The member will need to contact Sun International Central Reservations on Tel: 011 780 7800. Please have your membership number with you when making a reservation.

The consultant will then check for the Best Available Rate (BAR).  Once the booking has been made you, the member, will need to make payment within 48 hours to confirm the booking, unless informed differently. You will then receive a confirmation that needs to be shown at check in. If the booking is not paid for in the specific time frame, the booking will automatically cancel and the rate will no longer be valid. Only one voucher can be used per booking, and a minimum of 2 nights must be booked.

Check in procedure:
The following will need to be presented at check in.

  • Confirmation letter
  • ID copy
  • Privilege Portfolio card
  • Privilege Portfolio voucher


All hotel restaurants will require Privilege Portfolio card holders to produce any form of identification on arrival at the restaurants and when settling the bill.

Lost or Stole Cards

In the event of your card being lost or stolen, we will replace it at a minimal fee.   Application for a replacement card must be accompanied by a South African police case number or police affidavit.

Certificates & Vouchers

Your certificates and vouchers are valuable - they will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

Right of Access

Sun International reserves the right to restrict access within their properties when necessary.
Food and drink purchased outside the hotel may not be brought onto our premises.​​​​​
