Time Square sous chef Zakhele Ndlozi is focused on improving his culinary skills to meet the evolving needs of the food-service industry to create and enhance guest experiences.

He works well under pressure, quickly organising kitchen efficiency and multitasking in  different environments. Ndlozi specialises in sushi and pastry, and loves using South African and Japanese flavours to satisfy customers’ palates with each new dish that is inspired by his upbringing and global trends.

The TasteMaster SA Season 3 finalist believes that when guests eat food made with love, it feeds the soul. “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”

Signature dish: Blueberry Buchu with Honey Bush Mousse, Snowbush Vanilla Sponge and Lemon Snowbush Meringue Shards (Winning dish on Episode 9 of TasteMaster SA Season 3)
